Long Necked Animals by Piecca

At the Auckland Zoo the giraffes habitat is very dusty. It's very dry and has some rocks and tall trees . Next to them are the zebras just walking around and around. The giraffes are herbivores and they never eat meat.In the wild giraffes live in South Africa Savanna. They use their height to reach the leaves and buds in the treetop. Usually, in the wild, giraffes roam the open grasslands in small groups of about half a dozen.

Kia Ora Piecca, you have captured the giraffes habitat well.

Yes the giraffe is amazing with its long neck that is so graceful. The giraffe is the tallest animal and can look out over the savannahs. The zoo is very proud of the new baby.
